THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA is based on the classic novel Le Fantôme de L'Opéra by Gaston Leroux, set in the splendid Paris of the 1930s. The story follows the fate of a musical genius known as the ‘Phantom,’ who lives in the depths of the Paris Opera House.

The Phantom, captivated by the talent and beauty of the young soprano Christine, gives her music and singing lessons and falls madly in love. His obsession leads to a series of dramatic events filled with jealousy, passion, and madness, unaware of Christine's love for Raoul.

The production of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA features 100 actors, crew members, and orchestra, with stunning scenery, breathtaking special effects, and more than 230 costumes, bringing to life some of Andrew Lloyd Webber's most famous and enthralling songs, including "The Phantom of the Opera," "Think of Me," and "The Music of the Night." The original cast recording, with over 40 million copies sold worldwide, is the best-selling cast album of all time.

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA in Prague is produced by Broadway Entertainment Group and Vanity Club CZ, in association with Arrangement and The Really Useful Group. The original London and New York productions were by Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Group Ltd. The Really Useful Group Ltd. is wholly owned by Andrew Lloyd Webber and exists to produce, license, and promote his shows and music worldwide, including some of the most successful and longest-running musicals such as The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, and Sunset Boulevard.
